Some good books I've read so far this year are: Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradly. Flavia de Luce, 11-year-old expert on poisons, uses her detective skills
to clear her father from suspicion of the murder of a childhood
schoolmate. Best qualities of this book - Voice - 1950's staunch British genius girl with a fetish for death and courage beyond her years. Her character is witty, endearing and entertaining. I look forward to reading the next books.
I Am Number Four series is extra special because they're written by an alien. The two best qualities are the unique characters and non-stop action. I can't wait for the next books to be made into movies. There are some fun interactive websites for these books. Including http://www.youtube.com/iamnumberfourfans and http://iamnumberfourfans.com/the-lorien-legacies/
It took me forever to get to this book, but I'm so glad I did. The Skinned series by Judith Graves begged for my attention. Little Miss attitude meats chimera and paranormal romance. Loved it. I guarantee the third will be just as good.AND I have a blog post up on Indie Elite about the Art of Interruption. Check it out.

Love the Indie E widget.
